Position Overview

As a Sr. Lab Support Specialist, you will be a key member of our Field Operations team, responsible for ensuring smooth laboratory operations, maintaining inventory, and supporting customers with efficiency and care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Logistics & Operations

    • Receive shipments and scan packing slips.

    • Collect glassware from labs and operate the glasswash machine.

    • Manage laboratory waste collection and operate the autoclave machine.

  • Customer Support

    • Handle customer inquiries primarily via email and follow up by phone as needed.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues promptly and build customer trust.

  • Process Improvement

    • Work with supervisors and colleagues to identify and implement workflow enhancements.

  • Safety & Compliance

    • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all work areas.

    • Follow site safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.

  • Inventory Management

    • Monitor lab stock levels, identify shortages, and proactively address supply gaps.

  • Other Duties

    • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience:

    • 2–3 years of experience in customer service, warehouse, retail stocking, or inventory control preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in using RF handheld scanners or mobile scanning apps.

    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication (especially via email).

    • Friendly, proactive, and detail-oriented with a team-first attitude.


Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Frequent lifting of 30–40 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Use of material-handling equipment such as pushcarts, pallet jacks, or forklifts (up to 100 lbs push/pull).

  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and other manual activities.

  • Work in varied temperature environments (e.g., cold rooms, outdoor areas).

  • Required PPE: lab coats, gloves, facemasks, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, etc.

  • Exposure to chemical-based allergens may occur (e.g., penicillin, tetracycline).

  • Ability to work overtime as required.
