Position Overview

Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking an accomplished Sr. Director, Global Clinical Operations (GCO) Therapeutic Area Head – Neuroscience to lead strategic, operational, and cross-functional delivery of global clinical trials across all Neuroscience programs (Phase IIA through registration and post-marketing).

This senior leadership role manages a global team of 15–20 clinical professionals and plays a critical role in shaping the Neuroscience development strategy, operational innovation, vendor oversight, and study execution excellence. The position also contributes to enterprise-wide initiatives as part of the GCO Leadership Team.

Work Model: Hybrid (Parsippany, NJ or West Chester, PA)
Travel: Up to 30% (overnight travel as required)


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Clinical Operations

  • Develop and execute global clinical operations strategies for the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area.

  • Oversee operational planning and delivery for all clinical trial phases (excluding Phase I healthy volunteer studies).

  • Lead process evolution, operational innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives across GCO.

  • Ensure alignment with overall Clinical Development strategies.

Quality, Compliance & Inspection Readiness

  • Partner with Clinical Quality Assurance to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Ensure inspection readiness across all Neuroscience programs.

  • Guarantee that clinical studies meet global regulatory requirements and adhere to GCP/ICH standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Vendor Management

  • Lead due diligence and provide operational input for strategic programs.

  • Establish strong relationships with investigators, CROs, vendors, consultants, and alliance partners.

  • Oversee performance metrics, quality compliance, and vendor deliverables.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop Clinical Project Managers and GCO staff.

  • Drive hiring, workforce planning, and competency development within the TA.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and high performance.

Financial Oversight & Risk Management

  • Review and approve clinical study budgets and long-term TA forecasting.

  • Manage KPIs, risk mitigation plans, and executive-level reporting.

  • Ensure accurate communication of operational performance to senior leadership.

Patient-Centricity & Innovation

  • Champion patient-centric operational strategies that enhance patient diversity, engagement, and trial experience.

  • Integrate best-in-class methodologies and industry advancements into Neuroscience clinical operations.


Required Experience & Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MSc or equivalent) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of clinical operations experience within the global pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

  • Minimum 5 years of management/supervisory experience leading teams in a global environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in GCP, ICH guidelines, clinical study methodology, and drug development.

  • Proven leadership in designing, managing, and executing Neuroscience clinical trials.

  • Strong background in CRO/vendor oversight and performance management.

  • Experience in process design, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong project management and budget oversight skills.

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: USD 238,520 – 300,000
Salary determination depends on geography, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Eligible positions may also receive discretionary awards and restricted stock units.
