Position Overview

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate III – Clinical Application Services & Support to join its Mumbai-based team. This role is responsible for delivering clinical training, field-based application support, and technical education to surgeons, operating room staff, and healthcare professionals for Alcon’s approved ophthalmic medical devices. The position plays a critical role in supporting customer adoption, clinical excellence, and compliance across cataract and refractive surgical technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote clinical application training and technical support to surgeons and operating room teams on the approved use of Alcon ophthalmic devices.

  • Deliver real-time surgical and operating room support to optimize procedural outcomes.

  • Conduct customer education programs, clinical consulting, and ongoing support for healthcare professionals and institutions.

  • Support installation, implementation, and upgrades of equipment and software at clinical sites in coordination with Field Service Engineers.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of site visits and clinical activities through CRM tools within defined timelines.

  • Identify, document, and report adverse events and device complaints in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Field Service, R&D, and Clinical Research teams to support product adoption and clinical performance.

  • Share clinical insights, product performance feedback, and data analysis with internal stakeholders, including R&D and clinical research groups.

  • Participate in medical congresses, conferences, wet labs, fellowships, and scientific meetings to support education and product awareness.

  • Ensure strict adherence to GxP regulations, SOPs, quality standards, and compliance guidelines across all assigned activities.


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in clinical applications, medical device support, healthcare training, or a related field.

  • Clinical exposure or experience in ophthalmology or surgical environments is strongly preferred.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of medical device applications.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with healthcare professionals.

  • Ability to deliver structured training and clinical education programs.

  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • High level of professionalism, customer focus, and compliance orientation.
