Job Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Medical Coding with advanced expertise in orthopaedic surgery coding. This role requires strong command of medical coding standards, the ability to maintain high accuracy levels, and a commitment to continuous learning and team development. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in surgical coding, supported by relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately code orthopaedic surgery medical records with a minimum of 96% accuracy, ensuring compliance with turnaround time and client requirements.
Consistently exceed productivity benchmarks and maintain high-quality outputs in Surgery medical coding.
Stay updated on the latest coding guidelines, regulations, and specialty-specific updates through ongoing training and educational participation.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge support to junior surgery coders to enhance overall team performance.
Uphold organizational standards by maintaining coding integrity, documentation quality, and adherence to coding protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate degree in Life Sciences is mandatory.
Relevant coding certifications required: CPC or CCS.
Minimum 6 years of experience in medical coding, specifically with strong expertise in Surgery coding.
Overall 8 years of professional experience in the healthcare or coding domain.
Proven ability to manage complex orthopaedic surgery coding tasks with precision and compliance.
Strong analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.
