🔎 Job Overview

The Site Budget and Contract Lead will be the primary point of contact for budget and contract negotiations with clinical research sites across multiple regions. The role involves managing all project activities related to budgets and contracts, ensuring smooth negotiation and collaboration with internal and external teams.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

1. Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical research sites and Sponsors
  • Develop and maintain country-specific, sponsor-approved budget grids

2. Budget & Contract Development

  • Develop draft clinical budgets for new studies and customize Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) for specific countries and sponsors
  • Facilitate negotiation and signature of site budgets/contracts with investigators and Legal Affairs

3. Contract and Budget Oversight

  • Manage amendments during the trial and track site payments
  • Ensure all study budgets remain within scope across all sites and escalate any out-of-scope budget requests

4. Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Attend internal and client project meetings
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Regulatory Affairs, Legal Affairs, Finance, and CTMS teams
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on budget and contract negotiations

5. Support & Leadership

  • Lead contract management for global studies
  • Support the Manager of Site Selection and Contracting in achieving project goals and high-quality results

📌 Requirements

🎓 Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in clinical research or related field, or equivalent experience

🛠 Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years in clinical research, particularly in site budget/contract negotiation
  • At least 2 years of experience in a contract lead role in the CRO, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry

💻 Skills:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with additional language skills in German or Polish considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with dermatological and rheumatological clinical research is a plus
