Job Summary:

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Pharmacovigilance Scientist to join their Global Pharmacovigilance team in Kalamazoo, MI. This crucial role involves overseeing post-marketing product surveillance, signal detection, adverse event trending, and risk assessment for a diverse animal health product portfolio. The position requires in-depth knowledge of veterinary medicine, global PV regulations, epidemiological principles, and data analytics to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic regulatory guidance.

  • Lead and represent the Pharmacovigilance function in cross-functional surveillance teams.

  • Author safety review sections of regulatory reports, such as EU Annual Statements.

  • Maintain and manage technical files in the global signal management system.

  • Utilize pharmacovigilance software solutions for signal detection and analysis.

  • Innovate and propose solutions for evolving signal management processes.

  • Train and educate stakeholders on global PV systems and processes.

  • Prepare regulatory submissions related to signal management activities.

  • Provide documentation and input for inspections, audits, and process reviews.

  • Lead sub-teams to evaluate and improve PV procedures and problem resolution strategies.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent advanced qualification.

  • Minimum 3 years’ clinical veterinary practice or animal health industry experience.

  • Preferred experience in signal detection, data analysis, statistics, or epidemiology.

  • Knowledge of global veterinary pharmacovigilance regulations and risk management.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance tools and software systems.

  • Experience with regulatory submissions and interpretation of global guidelines.
