Job Overview

A leading global life sciences organization is hiring a Senior STEM Content Analyst – Biochemistry to join its Systems Biology team. This role focuses on scientific literature analysis, biochemical data curation, drug metabolism research, and database management supporting drug discovery and systems biology solutions.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals in biochemistry, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, or molecular biology who want to work in scientific data intelligence and research analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze peer-reviewed scientific literature to define metabolism and pharmacological activity of substances

  • Curate and annotate molecular interactions and drug metabolism data

  • Perform chemical structure indexing and drug categorization

  • Review and validate scientific data for accuracy and completeness

  • Support database quality control using SQL queries

  • Guide junior analysts in interpreting scientific literature

  • Identify workflow improvements in biochemistry-related processes

  • Stay updated on scientific trends in biochemistry and pharmacology

Required Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, or related Life Sciences field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:
3–6 years of experience in biochemistry research, drug metabolism, pharmacology, toxicology, or scientific data analysis. Laboratory experience is desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of biochemical pathways and molecular biology

  • Knowledge of drug development lifecycle

  • Experience with scientific databases

  • Working knowledge of SQL; R or Python is an advantage

  • Familiarity with AI tools at user level preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office

Core Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Ability to work independently and in global teams

About the Team

The Systems Biology team consists of scientific professionals across India and Europe supporting a global biochemical and multi-omics database used in drug discovery and research analytics.

Work Schedule
