Role Overview:
The Senior Research Associate in Biopharmaceutics will be responsible for supporting pre-formulation and phase-appropriate formulation development activities for pre-clinical and clinical studies. The role involves analytical characterization, formulation development, solid-state evaluation, and collaborative cross-functional work to ensure successful development of new chemical entities (NCEs).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-formulation studies to assess physicochemical properties of NCEs.
Handle and operate analytical tools/instruments essential for drug discovery and formulation characterization.
Support formulation development and feasibility studies for pre-clinical PK, PD, and toxicology studies.
Assist in the development of oral drug products including solutions, suspensions, tablets, and capsules for clinical studies.
Perform solid-state characterization and stability assessments for drug substances and formulations.
Record, summarize, and present experimental data; assist in drafting scientific and technical reports.
Utilize MS Office and scientific software tools to analyze and interpret formulation data.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (PK/PD, toxicology, medicinal chemistry, and analytical R&D) and occasionally interact with external clients.
Educational Qualifications:
M. Pharm or M.S. in Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Technical Skills:
Pre-formulation and analytical chemistry expertise
Solid-state characterization and formulation development
Stability studies and data interpretation
Strong scientific documentation and reporting skills
