Job Summary
Join Amgen, a global biotechnology leader, as a Senior Manager – Scientific Communications and lead a team to drive impactful, compliant, and innovative global medical content strategies. Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high-quality scientific and medical content (e.g., DSE, FAQs, MSL decks, digital assets, Medical Information Letters) for global and US markets
Oversee publication-related materials including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and enhanced content
Provide timely support for payer content and medical information inquiries
Ensure SOP compliance and utilize digital channels and KPIs for content delivery
Lead, mentor, and onboard scientific communication staff
Align with global teams on planning, prioritization, and project execution
Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Access, Regulatory, and Commercial partners
Continuously improve content processes through innovation and technology adoption
Required Skills & Qualifications
Doctorate (MD, PhD, PharmD, or DO) with 10+ years of relevant experience OR
Master’s degree with 12+ years OR
Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience
Minimum 5 years of people or project leadership experience
Prior roles in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or Medical Communications
Deep knowledge of ICMJE, GPP guidelines, publication planning standards
Strong clinical knowledge within Amgen’s therapeutic focus areas
High proficiency in matrix collaboration and strategic execution
Proven ability to communicate scientific data across multiple audiences
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with AI tools, omnichannel engagement platforms, or emerging medical communication technologies
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database tools
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration experience
