Position Overview

As a Public Policy Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping healthcare policy within the Saudi Arabian ecosystem by closely engaging with payers, senior decision-makers, and policy influencers. This role focuses on bringing global policy perspectives to local contexts, contributing to Roche’s long-term vision, and enhancing access to healthcare for patients.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Agenda Development:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the healthcare ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, including the political, institutional, and environmental factors.
- Set and prioritize policy agenda issues in alignment with Roche’s Policy and Partnership strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and nurture relationships with political stakeholders, key influencers, and decision-makers involved in shaping health policy at both the national and local levels.
- Actively work with payers and public/private sector leaders to overcome barriers to access and drive health system strengthening initiatives.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Develop long-term, strategic partnerships with advocates, special interest groups, and policy influencers to influence policy agendas effectively.
- Collaborate with Global Access teams to engage with regional and global decision-makers, including organizations like the UICC, WHO, World Bank, and UN.
Strategic Counsel:
- Provide strategic policy guidance to affiliate leadership teams and advise on key trends and opportunities that could inform country strategies.
Cross-Country Collaboration:
- Liaise with the broader health system shaping network, ensuring collaboration and identification of scalable solutions that can be applied across different countries in the region.
Policy Messaging:
- Work with the Public Affairs and Communications teams to ensure clear, consistent health policy messaging both internally and externally.

What You Bring

Experience:
- Extensive experience in public policy, with a focus on healthcare policy and regulatory affairs. Ideally, you have experience working in or with Saudi Arabia's healthcare ecosystem or similar markets.
Skills:
- Strong network of political stakeholders and policy influencers within the healthcare sector.
- Proven track record of building strategic partnerships and influencing healthcare policies at the national or regional level.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to develop long-term policy strategies, guide affiliate teams on policy trends, and align with global priorities.
Collaboration:
- Team-oriented and able to work cross-functionally with Global Access, PA/Communications, and other internal teams.
