Job Description:

As a Senior Global Medical Affairs Leader (GMAL) for Early Prostate Cancer, you will drive strategy and execution for clinical-commercial optimization, life cycle management, and global medical affairs integration for targeted oncology compounds.

This leadership role is integral to Janssen's oncology mission, requiring collaboration with internal stakeholders and external experts to ensure the effective development and delivery of lifesaving treatments to patients globally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of Global Medical Affairs (GMAF) strategy and execution plans for assigned compounds.

  • Partner with Clinical Development and Regional Medical Affairs teams to align global and regional strategies.

  • Represent Medical Affairs in the Compound Development Team (CDT) to build unified compound development and life cycle plans.

  • Lead patient advocacy efforts through strategic alliances with advocacy groups and academic institutions.

  • Direct pre-launch medical activities, including global advisory boards, scientific congresses, and medical symposia.

  • Oversee global publication strategy, content development, and approval processes.

  • Manage the ReCAP process for medical affairs-sponsored clinical and investigator-initiated trials.

  • Contribute to risk management strategies and benefit-risk assessment reporting.

  • Serve as the single Medical Affairs voice in cross-functional forums such as W-MAST and WISE.


Qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific/medical degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH); MD or DO preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in medical, clinical, or scientific functions within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Minimum of 5 years in Medical Affairs, preferably with experience in Early Prostate Cancer.

  • Strong network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and medical experts in oncology.

  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional, matrixed teams at a global level.

  • Proven experience in external stakeholder engagement, including advocacy and scientific communities.

  • High innovation mindset with adaptability to complex and evolving environments.

  • Expertise in clinical trial methodology and benefit-risk assessment preferred.

  • Excellent communication and ethical decision-making skills.

  • Minimum of 30% international travel required.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $160,000 - $276,000

  • Eligible for annual performance-based bonus

  • Comprehensive benefits package in line with company guidelines
