About the Antibody Development Team

The Antibody Development team focuses on the engineering, design, and validation of high-quality antibodies with strong specificity and performance. The team’s work spans antibody design, molecular cloning, expression, purification, conjugation, and testing across a wide range of immunoassay platforms. The ultimate objective is the development of research-use products supported by robust scientific data.


Role Overview

The Scientist I – Molecular Biology will be an integral contributor to antibody development programs, leveraging innovative molecular biology techniques to enhance antibody performance and specificity. This role requires hands-on laboratory expertise, strong scientific rigor, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute molecular biology experiments to support antibody development programs

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of experimental data using laboratory notebooks and electronic records

  • Perform routine literature reviews to remain current with advancements in molecular biology and antibody engineering

  • Compile, analyze, and present experimental data in written reports and oral presentations

  • Participate actively in team discussions and project reviews

  • Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety standards, GMP practices, and quality requirements

  • Maintain high attention to detail while meeting project timelines and deliverables


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field with 0–3 years of relevant research or industry experience,
    OR

  • PhD in Life Sciences (degree awarded or submitted within the last one year)


Required Technical Experience

  • Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, PCR, cloning, and RNA handling

  • Strong understanding of RNA workflows and best laboratory practices for RNA-based experiments

  • Experience with bioinformatics tools such as BLAST, sequence alignment, primer design, codon optimization, and expression vector design

  • Familiarity with molecular biology software such as SnapGene, CLC Workbench, or Geneious


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Exposure to single-cell molecular biology workflows, next-generation sequencing (NGS), or display technologies

  • Experience with protein purification and immunoassay techniques including ELISA, Western blotting, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and cell culture

  • Experience with antibody or protein conjugation is an advantage

  • Theoretical or practical exposure to antibody development platforms

  • Evidence of relevant project work such as thesis research, publications, or technical reports

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism


Work Environment and Safety Conditions

  • Laboratory-based role requiring compliance with GMP and EHS standards

  • Exposure to cold rooms/freezers, laboratory equipment, loud machinery, strong odors, and hazardous or biological materials

  • Use of personal protective equipment including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and other required PPE
