Job Summary
Join Novartis as a Scientific Writer and contribute to the development of high-quality scientific and medical communication content, including literature reviews, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and slide decks. This role is ideal for professionals with strong scientific writing experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a passion for communicating complex medical data clearly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare scientific documents like abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and slide sets using clinical data
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize findings for publications
Support regulatory-compliant publication of clinical trial results
Perform quality control checks, proofreading, and ensure adherence to company documentation standards
Manage multiple publication and content projects simultaneously
Track project timelines and clinical trial milestones
Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with SOPs
Collaborate closely with internal medical teams and stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
Degree in a healthcare or life science discipline; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred
3–5 years of scientific writing experience in a pharmaceutical or medical communications setting
Strong understanding of scientific literature, clinical research, and medical data interpretation
Ability to manage multiple projects in a matrix and multicultural environment
Customer-centric mindset with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with publication standards, templates (e.g., Novstyle), and compliance tools
