JOB OVERVIEW

The Manager, Scientific Writing is responsible for creating, updating, reviewing, and managing scientifically accurate and medically compliant content for commercial and medical-marketing assets. The role focuses on ensuring all promotional materials align with the latest prescribing information, safety updates, brand strategies, and Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) requirements.

The position is part of Studio Operations and involves extensive collaboration with global stakeholders across India, the United States, Ireland, and Mexico while maintaining high quality standards and supporting omnichannel content strategies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Scientific Content Development

  • Develop and review scientifically accurate promotional materials.

  • Create content for:

    • Interactive Visual Aids (iCVAs)

    • Brochures

    • Email Campaigns

    • Digital Marketing Assets

    • Social Media Posts

    • Banners

    • Websites

    • Newsletters

    • Remote Engagement Materials (RTEs)

  • Ensure scientific accuracy and medical relevance.

  • Translate complex scientific information into clear promotional content.

Label Update Management

  • Monitor updates to:

    • Prescribing Information (PI)

    • Important Safety Information (ISI)

    • Product Labels

    • Reference Documents

  • Implement timely updates across all promotional assets.

  • Ensure consistency of label-related changes.

  • Maintain compliance with global regulations and internal standards.

Brand Strategy Support

  • Collaborate with content owners and brand teams.

  • Understand product positioning and messaging strategies.

  • Ensure promotional materials align with approved brand objectives.

  • Support content planning throughout the product lifecycle.

Omnichannel Content Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to repurpose scientific content.

  • Adapt content for multiple communication channels.

  • Support modular content development.

  • Optimize content usage across various customer touchpoints.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:

    • Medical Teams

    • Regulatory Teams

    • Legal Teams

    • Creative Teams

    • Editorial Teams

    • Digital Marketing Teams

  • Ensure content alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Support efficient content development workflows.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to:

    • MLR (Medical-Legal-Regulatory) Requirements

    • Pharmaceutical Industry Regulations

    • Promotional Compliance Standards

  • Review materials for scientific accuracy.

  • Maintain consistency across all promotional assets.

  • Support audit and compliance readiness.

Mentoring & Leadership

  • Guide and mentor junior scientific writers.
