About the Role
Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) is seeking a Scientific Writer to create high-quality, scientifically accurate content supporting medical education and publication activities. The role offers an opportunity to work across diverse therapeutic areas, collaborating with global teams, healthcare professionals, and internal stakeholders to develop impactful communication materials.
The Scientific Writer will support the end-to-end content development process, including creation, review, approval, and maintenance of publication and medical education materials using platforms like PromoMats/iEnvision. This role also involves developing therapeutic area expertise, mentoring peers, and implementing best practices in scientific communication.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Publication Support
Develop specialized scientific content, including slide decks, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and medical education materials
Support medical communication and subject-matter expertise development for assigned therapeutic areas
Assist in publication planning, implementation, and regional publication needs analysis
Collaborate with vendors to deliver high-quality outputs according to defined processes
Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including Product Managers, MSLs, and the medical department
Interact with healthcare professionals on publication content and medical education initiatives
Mentor and support junior writers, sharing knowledge and fostering expertise
Performance & Process Improvement
Deliver publication and educational materials within agreed timelines and quality standards
Analyze end-user feedback to refine content, improve course delivery, and enhance learning outcomes
Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and publication guidelines
About You
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in scientific content creation within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or academic sectors
Education
Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related discipline, or Medical Degree
Technical Skills
Expertise in therapeutic area content creation, publication submission, and project management
Familiarity with PromoMats/iEnvision or similar content management systems
Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable
Languages
Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English
