Role Overview
Indegene is seeking a detail-oriented Scientific Editor to ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of scientific and medical content. This role involves comprehensive editorial review of complex scientific materials, ensuring clarity, compliance, and adherence to established medical and editorial standards.
The position is ideal for professionals with strong scientific editing expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Review scientific and medical content for grammar, punctuation, style, clarity, and language consistency while maintaining scientific accuracy
Edit L-MACH and related medical content in alignment with approved editorial and scientific standards
Critically evaluate the relevance, accuracy, and completeness of scientific information
Review and edit data, charts, tables, and statistical content to ensure accurate interpretation and representation
Ensure adherence to medical SOPs, including MCA procedures and internal quality standards
Utilize editorial, proofreading, referencing tools, and document management systems effectively
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, providing constructive editorial feedback and resolving content-related queries
Maintain data integrity through accuracy checks and consistency reviews
Adapt efficiently to evolving guidelines, regulations, tools, software, and editorial processes
Support training, mentoring, and quality improvement initiatives as required
Required Qualifications & Experience
4–5 years of experience in scientific editing, medical editing, or content quality review
Proven expertise in editing and proofreading scientific or medical content
Strong attention to detail and high standards of editorial accuracy
Ability to interpret and edit scientific data and statistical information
Solid understanding of medical SOPs, including MCA procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in stakeholder management and collaborative workflows
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
High proficiency in language usage and consistency standards
