Key Responsibilities:

For QC Microbiologist I:

  • Perform microbial analysis on raw materials, in-process products, stability samples, and final containers following established procedures.

  • Record and review data in accordance with GxP regulations for product disposition.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and investigations.

  • Prepare reports and assist with document revisions.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and follow safety programs.

  • Perform basic microbiological techniques like aseptic technique, gram staining, and microscope use.

For QC Microbiologist II (in addition to QC Microbiologist I duties):

  • Proficiency in core microbiology assays, including C.I. testing, LAL testing, Bioburden, and more.

  • Assist in training and internal/external client interactions.

  • Participate in product/process validations and write acceptance reports.

  • Perform special assignments directed by the supervisor.


Required Qualifications:

For QC Microbiologist I:

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field.

  • No prior experience required (lab and pharmaceutical experience are a plus).

  • Knowledge of microbiology, statistics, and GMP is desirable.

For QC Microbiologist II:

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field.

  • 1-year lab experience required (pharmaceutical experience is a plus).

  • Proficiency in microbiology, statistics, and GMP.

Both Roles:

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work in teams and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, handle allergens, and work in a repetitive environment.


Compensation & Benefits:

Wages:

  • QC Microbiologist I: $27.01 - $36.53 per hour

  • QC Microbiologist II: $30.01 - $40.59 per hour (depending on experience).
