Position Overview
The Safety & PV Technology Project Manager will lead strategic technology initiatives aimed at modernizing pharmacovigilance (PV) operations. This role focuses on AI-driven automation, touchless case processing, and operational efficiency, managing projects from planning through execution while ensuring alignment with safety, regulatory, and IT governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end PV technology projects, including AI and automation initiatives, from initiation through delivery and closure.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, Safety, Operations, STS, and external vendors, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and KPIs; proactively identify risks and implement solutions.

  • Represent the Technology Oversight Team in safety governance forums and broader PV committees.

  • Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance regulations and standards while implementing new tools and processes.

  • Support change management, training, and adoption activities across impacted PV and safety functions.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, status reports, and stakeholder communications.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience, including 2–3 years in pharmacovigilance and 2–3 years in project management.

  • Proven project management experience in cross-functional or matrixed environments.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacovigilance and drug safety processes.

  • Familiarity with safety databases; Argus Safety experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, stakeholder expectations, and reporting for complex projects.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience implementing AI or automation initiatives in PV or safety operations.

  • Knowledge of multiple PV/safety databases and platforms.

  • Exposure to touchless/intelligent case processing or digital PV transformation projects.

  • Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are a plus.
