Safety Physician – ICSR (Remote, India)
Syneos Health is seeking a highly skilled Safety Physician – ICSR to support pharmacovigilance operations across investigational and marketed products. This remote role is ideal for licensed physicians with strong clinical backgrounds and at least 1 year of pharmacovigilance experience, looking to contribute to global drug safety efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform medical review of adverse event cases (ICSRs) for investigational and marketed products.
Ensure regulatory compliance and medical consistency in AE evaluations.
Apply MedDRA, WHO-DRL, and safety database standards (e.g., ARGUS).
Provide expert medical interpretation for aggregate safety reports (e.g., PSURs, PADERs).
Collaborate with safety and PV teams for accurate case assessments.
Stay up-to-date with clinical developments in assigned programs.
Mentor junior safety staff and case processors.
Interface with client medical personnel as required.
Maintain documentation and SOP adherence for compliance.
Participate in internal and external continuing education activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
MD, MBBS, or DO degree; accredited residency completed.
1–2 years of clinical practice experience required.
Minimum 1 year in pharmacovigilance or epidemiology preferred.
In-depth knowledge of global PV regulations and ICSR processes.
Proficiency in safety databases (e.g., ARGUS), MedDRA, WHO-DRL.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, and collaborative platforms.
Excellent communication and interpretation skills in English.
Willingness to travel up to 10%, if required.
