Safety Physician – ICSR (Remote, India)

Syneos Health is seeking a highly skilled Safety Physician – ICSR to support pharmacovigilance operations across investigational and marketed products. This remote role is ideal for licensed physicians with strong clinical backgrounds and at least 1 year of pharmacovigilance experience, looking to contribute to global drug safety efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform medical review of adverse event cases (ICSRs) for investigational and marketed products.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and medical consistency in AE evaluations.

  • Apply MedDRA, WHO-DRL, and safety database standards (e.g., ARGUS).

  • Provide expert medical interpretation for aggregate safety reports (e.g., PSURs, PADERs).

  • Collaborate with safety and PV teams for accurate case assessments.

  • Stay up-to-date with clinical developments in assigned programs.

  • Mentor junior safety staff and case processors.

  • Interface with client medical personnel as required.

  • Maintain documentation and SOP adherence for compliance.

  • Participate in internal and external continuing education activities.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MD, MBBS, or DO degree; accredited residency completed.

  • 1–2 years of clinical practice experience required.

  • Minimum 1 year in pharmacovigilance or epidemiology preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of global PV regulations and ICSR processes.

  • Proficiency in safety databases (e.g., ARGUS), MedDRA, WHO-DRL.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, and collaborative platforms.

  • Excellent communication and interpretation skills in English.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, if required.
