Job Description

IQVIA is seeking a Safety Associate Trainee to review, assess, and process safety data and information received from various sources. The role involves distributing reports/data to both internal and external parties while adhering to regulations, SOPs, and internal guidelines under the guidance of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training & Compliance: Prioritize and complete assigned training within the required timeframes.

  • Data Processing: Process safety data according to applicable regulations, guidelines, and project requirements.

  • Pharmacovigilance Activities: Collect and track incoming Adverse Events (AE) or endpoint information, determine status, and perform database entry. This includes coding AE and products, writing narratives, and conducting literature-related activities.

  • Project Workflow: Perform additional workflow responsibilities as directed by the operations team or manager.

  • Quality & Productivity: Ensure work meets expected productivity and quality standards. Identify quality issues and report them to a senior team member or mentor.

  • Communication: Attend project team meetings and provide feedback on challenges, issues, or successes to the operations manager.

  • Compliance & Deliverables: Adhere to 100% compliance with all processes and practices. Ensure high-quality deliverables according to agreed terms.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent in a scientific, healthcare discipline, or allied life sciences. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.

  • Skills:

    • Good knowledge of medical terminology.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to team goals.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

    • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

    • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

    • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the safety service lines.

    • Flexibility to operate in shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Extensive use of the keyboard and telephone requiring repetitive motion and accurate perception of speech.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.

  • May require occasional travel.
