Job Description:
Specialty Medical Staffing is looking for experienced Retail Pharmacists throughout California for both extra work or full-time opportunities with highly respected retail pharmacies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescriptions, verify orders, and counsel patients on proper usage and side effects.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive advice on medications, including usage, side effects, and adherence to prescribed therapy.
  • Health & Wellness: Administer vaccinations, offer OTC medication recommendations, and conduct health screenings.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels, order medications, and ensure proper disposal of expired products.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to pharmacy laws and regulations, maintain patient records, and participate in continuing education.
  • Teamwork: Work with pharmacy technicians, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active state pharmacy license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology.
