🎯 Job Overview:

Fortrea is seeking Research Nurses (RN, LPN) and certified Paramedics to support Early Phase clinical trials.

This full-time, rotating shift role involves direct interaction with healthy volunteer participants, exposure to a wide range of therapeutic indications and study types (ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, drug-to-drug interactions), and participation in clinical research operations.

The role emphasizes participant safety, clinical skills application, and adherence to protocol in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


💼 Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Clinical & Participant Care

  • Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.

  • Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.

  • Collect and process biological samples per protocol; ensure proper distribution.

  • Monitor dietary compliance for research participants.

  • Assist with screening procedures as needed.

  • Assist in preparation of rooms and medical equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

🔹 Operational & Other Duties

  • Support clinic operations and daily study activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


🎓 Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing with current licensure; Paramedics must be certified.

  • Experience: 0–1 year of related clinical experience.

  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred.

  • Fortrea may consider relevant equivalent experience in lieu of formal education.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Laboratory/clinical environment with exposure to electrical equipment and biological fluids.

  • Occasional driving to site locations; occasional domestic travel.

  • PPE required (eyewear, garments, gloves).

  • Ability to work upright/stationary for 10–12 hours/day.

  • Repetitive hand movements; occasional crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting.

  • Light to moderate lifting 15–20 lbs.

  • Regular attendance; varied hours may be required.
