Job Overview
We are seeking a Remittance Tracking Analyst to join athenahealth’s operations team. In this role, you will analyze work queues related to revenue cycle management and ensure the timely and accurate resolution of claims. You will identify opportunities to improve accounts receivable (AR) outcomes while contributing to the optimization of processes that support high-quality, sustainable healthcare.
This role involves independent work within a collaborative team, thorough research, claims resolution, and active engagement with stakeholders across geographies. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately enter information into athenaNet and trading partner applications
Build and maintain expert subject matter knowledge of assigned processes to support clients and internal teams
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to perform tasks and resolve claims
Identify workflow inconsistencies and propose improvements to enhance operational outcomes
Prioritize and complete work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to turnaround times and established goals
Communicate opportunities for innovation, process refinement, and efficiency gains
Perform trend analysis and identify actionable insights to improve AR and revenue cycle success
Education & Experience Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 2–4 years of relevant professional experience
Experience in claims processing or revenue cycle operations preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer navigation skills
Compensation
$31,000 – $53,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
Compensation is part of a comprehensive Total Rewards package, which may include discretionary bonuses, variable compensation, and equity incentives
