Job Overview

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is seeking a Regional Medical Advisor to serve as the primary scientific interface between the organization and key thought leaders (KOLs), physicians, and healthcare stakeholders within a defined geography and therapy area.

This field-based Medical Affairs role focuses on scientific engagement, evidence-based communication, insight generation, and strategic execution of therapy-area medical plans. The position is ideal for early-career medical professionals seeking to build expertise in pharmaceutical medical affairs, KOL management, medical education, and evidence generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, map, and profile key opinion leaders (KOLs) and thought leaders within the assigned therapy area and geography.

  • Execute the regional Medical Affairs strategy, including medical education initiatives, product education, advisory boards, evidence generation activities, and special scientific projects.

  • Serve as a therapeutic area scientific expert, proactively and reactively discussing clinical data, treatment trends, and emerging evidence with physicians, pharmacists, hospital administrators, and scientific society representatives.

  • Act as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals through peer-to-peer engagement.

  • Gather actionable insights on disease trends, unmet needs, and treatment patterns, and communicate findings to therapy leads and commercial teams.

  • Conduct disease trend analysis and contribute to the development of the annual Medical Affairs strategic plan.

  • Respond to and process scientific information requests from healthcare professionals in a compliant and timely manner.

  • Collaborate with KOLs on therapy-specific reviews, meta-analyses, case studies, patient-reported outcomes research, and scientific publications in reputable journals.

  • Develop and deliver structured training programs to sales and marketing teams to ensure up-to-date medical knowledge transfer.

  • Identify knowledge, practice, and data gaps and develop strategic medical action plans to address them.

  • Support pipeline development by identifying unmet clinical needs and contributing to differentiated product ideation.

  • Ensure all regional activities comply with the organization’s Code of Business Ethics (COBE) and promotional material approval policies.

  • Represent the organization at scientific meetings, conferences, and internal cross-functional forums.

Educational Qualifications

  • MBBS with a full-time postgraduate qualification (minimum 2 years) in any discipline of medicine
    OR

  • MBBS with MBA from a reputed institute

Experience Requirements

  • Fresh postgraduate candidates are eligible

  • Up to 2 years of experience in field-based Medical Affairs preferred

  • Demonstrated academic excellence and strong understanding of research methodologies and clinical data interpretation
