Job Summary:

The Recruitment & Retention Solution Strategist develops innovative, data-driven strategies to optimize patient recruitment and retention in clinical trials. This role serves as a subject matter expert during the pre-award phase, ensuring proposed strategies are feasible, timely, and minimize burden on sites and patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized, data-driven patient recruitment and retention strategies aligned with study goals and client expectations

  • Assess study-specific factors such as target patient populations, protocol complexity, site feasibility, and geographic reach

  • Collaborate with internal teams and business development to create competitive and differentiated RFP responses

  • Initiate Patient Recruitment Plans (PRPs) documenting potential risks and mitigation strategies

  • Partner with cross-functional experts (feasibility, operations, data science) to integrate real-world data and predictive analytics

  • Engage with clients during pre-award discussions and bid defense meetings to present and defend strategies

  • Represent R&R in strategic sponsor discussions to ensure alignment with client goals and industry standards

  • Track proposal outcomes, analyze performance data, and continuously refine strategies

  • Contribute to best practices, case studies, and lessons learned for R&R solutioning

  • Stay current on global regulatory requirements, cultural considerations, and evolving patient engagement best practices


Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in patient recruitment and retention strategy development, clinical trial feasibility, or related areas

  • Experience designing and implementing recruitment strategies across multiple clinical trial phases

  • Proven collaboration with operational, medical, business development, site feasibility, and vendor stakeholders

  • Experience managing site-level recruitment activities (patient scheduling, data collection, site initiation)

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols and recruitment feasibility factors

  • Experience presenting strategies to sponsors or clients in bid defense settings

  • Background in complex therapeutic areas (rare diseases, pediatrics, geriatrics, terminal illness)

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders under tight deadlines

  • Skilled in evaluating recruitment and retention data to optimize strategies

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Professional organization membership related to clinical research preferred
