Job Summary:

The Recruitment & Retention Solution Strategist develops innovative, data-driven strategies to optimize patient recruitment and retention across clinical trials. This role acts as a subject matter expert during the pre-award phase, collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure strategies are feasible, timely, and minimize site and patient burden.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized, data-driven patient recruitment and retention strategies aligned with study goals and client expectations

  • Assess study-specific factors (target population, protocol complexity, site feasibility, geography) to inform strategy

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Business Development, Proposals, Operational) to craft competitive RFP responses

  • Initiate Patient Recruitment Plans (PRPs), identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies

  • Partner with cross-functional experts (feasibility, operations, data science) to integrate real-world data and predictive analytics

  • Present and defend strategies to clients during pre-award discussions and bid defense meetings

  • Track proposal outcomes, analyze performance data, and apply insights for future optimization

  • Contribute to best practices, case studies, and lessons learned in recruitment and retention

  • Stay current on global regulatory requirements, cultural considerations, and patient engagement best practices


Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree preferred with at least 5 years of experience in:

    • Patient recruitment and retention strategy

    • Clinical trial feasibility

    • Related areas in clinical research

  • Direct experience designing and implementing recruitment strategies across multiple trial phases

  • Proven collaboration with operational, medical, business development, site feasibility, and vendor stakeholders

  • Experience managing site-level recruitment activities (scheduling, data collection, site initiation)

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols and factors influencing recruitment feasibility

  • Experience presenting strategies to sponsors/clients in bid defense settings

  • Background in complex therapeutic areas (rare diseases, pediatrics, geriatrics, terminal illness)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders under tight deadlines

  • Skilled in evaluating recruitment/retention data to optimize future strategies

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Professional organization membership related to clinical research preferred
