Position Summary:

As a Manager of Biostatistics, you will be integral to the design and analysis of clinical trials, helping to ensure that BMS's research and drug development efforts are driven by rigorous statistical methodology. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to trial design, protocol development, statistical analysis planning, and regulatory submissions within a dynamic, cross-functional team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Trial Design & Statistical Analysis:

    • Contribute to the design of clinical trials, ensuring that the statistical approaches are appropriate for the study hypotheses and objectives.

    • Author and/or review study protocols, statistical analysis plans, clinical study reports, and related documents.

    • Perform statistical analyses (both pre-planned and ad hoc) with guidance as necessary, ensuring that results are accurate and interpretable.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, translating scientific questions into statistical terms and communicating complex statistical concepts to non-experts.

    • Present and interpret statistical results to the GBDS (Global Biostatistics & Data Sciences) team and other stakeholders.

  • Quality & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with BMS’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and global standards, maintaining a high-quality output throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Continuously develop and apply technical knowledge of statistical methodologies to improve clinical trial design and analysis.

  • Culture & Teamwork:

    • Foster an inclusive culture within the team, respecting diversity, and promoting collaboration.

    • Encourage a respectful and constructive environment where team members can challenge each other’s ideas to improve outcomes.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related scientific field (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (SAS, R, Python) for data manipulation, analysis, graphing, and simulation.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience: Ability to work within cross-functional teams, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks. Familiarity with clinical trial design and regulatory requirements is beneficial.
