Job Summary

The New Product Launch (NPL) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing activities to support the Project Manager in ensuring successful new product launches. This role serves as an intermediate technical specialist, collaborating with Apotex Executives, Management, and cross-functional teams throughout the new product launch process to achieve on-time, in-full launches.


Job Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Utilize NPL planning tools, systems, methodologies, and software to plan, coordinate, and assist in executing global launches at the SKU level across all sites.
  • Lead product launches as needed to support global portfolio management.
  • Develop and maintain project plans that emphasize "Right First Time" principles to achieve launch readiness status.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional project teams to develop systems, policies, and procedures that facilitate continuous improvement of the NPL process.

Technical and Data Management

  • Serve as a senior technical specialist, resolving specialized and complex queries related to new product launches.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of SAP Master Data related to new product launches.
  • Trigger marketing forecast reviews and ensure timely transmission of forecast updates to SAP.
  • Update and maintain all systems databases required by the NPL process.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment and readiness for product launches.
  • Liaise with management across the business to assess customer needs and gather feedback to improve service.
  • Respond to complex queries by providing specialized input throughout the NPL process.
  • Communicate effectively and utilize designated systems to support new product launches.

Process Optimization and Compliance

  • Minimize or eliminate delays in the critical path of product launches, resolving issues and escalating unresolved matters to the Project Manager.
  • Plan and request creation of process orders to meet launch requirements and ensure pipeline fill for new product launches.
  • Execute changes to planned launch dates and collaborate with R&D NPD to ensure alignment in systems like DOSE/EPM.
  • Participate in the development of tactical plans to align practices with corporate strategy.
  • Perform all work in compliance with the organization’s Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, and regulatory requirements.

Other Duties

  • Generate data for monthly or ad-hoc product rationalization reviews.

Job Requirements

Education

  • University degree or equivalent in Business or Science-related field.
  • PMP Certification is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Developed project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/SAP processes, supply planning, and master data.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing, and project management software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Good understanding of organizational business processes and supply chain.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to internal and external customers.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in product launch, supply planning, or product development in the pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods product launch processes.
