Position Summary

The Product Specialist – Hematology (Oncology) will be responsible for achieving business growth targets in the assigned territory. This includes building strong customer relationships, understanding market potential, communicating scientific product benefits, and collaborating with healthcare professionals (HCPs).


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve assigned sales objectives while adhering to company policies and guidance.

  • Act as an entrepreneur for the assigned territory, taking ownership of outcomes.

  • Formulate and execute monthly sales strategies in consultation with the Area Business Manager (ABM).

  • Conduct pre-call planning for effective customer engagement.

  • Ensure availability of products by coordinating with distributors and hospitals.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain long-term professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers.

  • Execute scientific engagements such as CMEs (Continuous Medical Education) with support from the Medical Affairs team.

  • Profile and enlist new doctors and stakeholders in alignment with business needs.

  • Leverage technology for efficient field operations and reporting.

Market & Territory Management

  • Map and assess territory potential relative to market trends and competitor activities.

  • Conduct sales trend and data analysis to support strategic planning.

  • Prepare and submit daily activity reports and stock/sales statements accurately and on time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution of activities.

  • Participate in marketing campaigns and scientific programs as per organizational plans.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Required: B.Pharm / B.Sc

    • Preferred: MBA (Sales/Marketing specialization)

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales

    • Prior experience in Oncology or Hematology preferred


Skills & Competencies

Required:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes and product promotion

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Oncology/Hematology market and hospital procurement processes
