Role Overview
The Procurement Analyst / Procurement Manager is responsible for managing procurement operations related to clinical trial services, including sourcing materials, supplies, equipment, and vendor services that support clinical research activities.
The role focuses on vendor management, procurement strategy, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency within a clinical trial and CRO (Contract Research Organization) environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Operations
Manage procurement activities supporting clinical trial operations
Acquire:
Materials
Supplies
Equipment
Vendor services
Ensure procurement activities are efficient, compliant, and cost-effective
2. RFP & Vendor Management
Manage and track the complete Request for Proposal (RFP) lifecycle
Coordinate vendor solicitation and bid comparison processes
Review and compare:
Specifications
Vendor quotations
Service costs
Support vendor negotiations to reduce operational costs
3. Contract Negotiation
Negotiate:
Pricing
Terms and conditions
Supplier agreements
Ensure favorable commercial agreements and vendor terms
