Job Summary:

The PRN Research Technician I supports the Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials. The role focuses on providing high-quality clinical care for study participants, assisting with trial procedures, and ensuring adherence to protocols in a fast-paced environment.

This is a casual, office-based position with multiple openings.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Participant Care & Clinical Procedures:

  • Accurately perform vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, and weights.

  • Perform venipuncture and assist with collection and processing of biological samples per protocol.

  • Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.

  • Monitor participant meals to ensure dietary compliance.

  • Assist with screening procedures as needed.

  • Respond to emergency situations based on clinical research standards.

2. Trial Preparation & Environment:

  • Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment for study procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working and study environment.

  • Undertake any other duties as required by management.


Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred.

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:

  • 0–1 year of clinical research experience.

  • Previous clinical experience is ideal but not required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict protocol adherence.

  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and quickly reprioritize tasks.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable using technology-based, electronic data collection systems.
