Job Overview

Fortrea, one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations globally, is seeking PRN Research Technicians to support the Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with participants, contribute to patient care, and gain exposure to the latest pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device developments.


Key Responsibilities

1. Participant Care & Clinical Procedures

  • Provide high standard of care for participants in clinical trials.

  • Respond to emergency situations according to clinical research standards.

  • Accurately perform vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, weight, and temperature.

  • Perform venipuncture and collection of biological samples.

  • Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.

  • Monitor participant meals for dietary compliance.

2. Study Preparation & Support

  • Assist in preparation of rooms and medical equipment.

  • Support screening procedures as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

  • Ensure proper processing and distribution of biological samples.

  • Undertake other duties as required.

3. Work Environment Requirements

  • Adapt to fast-paced environment with strict adherence to study protocols.

  • Manage changing priorities and quickly adapt to on-the-spot requests.

  • Work collaboratively within a team; strong people skills are essential.

  • Operate in technology-based environments, including electronic data collection systems.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, technology-driven environment.

  • 0–1 year of clinical research experience. Recent graduates or those with recent clinical experience are considered.

Preferred:

  • Certifications: EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA.

  • Previous clinical experience is ideal but not mandatory.
