Job Summary:
Fortrea, a global leader in clinical research services, is hiring a PRN Pharmacist for its Daytona Beach, FL facility. This on-site role focuses on the preparation, dispensing, and regulatory compliance of investigational compounds in early-phase clinical trials. Ideal for licensed pharmacists with clinical research, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy experience, this role ensures the safe and efficient handling of pharmaceutical aspects in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Sponsors to demonstrate pharmacy and dispensing capabilities.
Develop and review study protocols, pharmacy manuals, and preparation logs.
Interface with regulatory bodies concerning pharmacy department activities.
Act as a technical advisor to clinical teams and other departments.
Maintain compliance of pharmacy facilities and processes with current guidelines.
Optimize and maintain pharmacy procedures and equipment.
Conduct feasibility reviews for new pharmacy-related study proposals.
Implement and oversee Good Dispensing Practices (GDP) standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Registered Pharmacist/Pharm D as per Florida state requirements.
Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience.
Preferred experience in clinical research, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
Comfortable with technology-driven, electronic data capture systems.
