Position Overview

We are seeking a Principal Tech Project Manager with clinical experience and GxP knowledge to oversee complex technology portfolios in the life sciences space. This role manages multiple projects within a program, ensuring delivery of strategic objectives on time, within scope, and budget.

The Principal Tech Project Manager acts as a bridge between technical systems and business objectives, driving execution, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead program execution across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • Prioritize and plan complex portfolios, managing interdependencies, resources, risks, and issues.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to align all projects with broader business strategy.

  • Oversee planning and execution of portfolios, setting goals, defining scope, and tracking progress.

  • Establish and maintain project procedures, rules, guidelines, and timelines; approve modifications within area of responsibility.

  • Support Business Partner and Product Manager in benefits management and program optimization.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including Statement of Work (SOW) and Purchase Order (PO) management.

  • Analyze impacts of changes or addition of new projects; optimize resource allocation and sequencing.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, addressing concerns and issues proactively.

  • Inspire and lead teams to achieve excellence, ensuring efficient delivery of complex technical programs.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline or relevant field.

  • Proven experience in program/project management, preferably within healthcare or pharmaceuticals.

  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of GxP regulations.

  • Demonstrated success in leading complex programs on time and within budget.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.

  • Thorough understanding of budgeting, resource management, and project governance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate, influence, and guide cross-functional teams.

  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
