Job Summary

Abbott Vascular seeks an experienced Principal Field Clinical Specialist for a fully remote role based in the Northeastern United States. The specialist will drive clinical trial execution, oversee protocol implementation, manage data collection, and ensure trial integrity for innovative vascular medical devices. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with cath lab, clinical research, and medical device experience to influence product development and patient care outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor clinical trial protocols for company-developed vascular products.

  • Recruit clinical investigators and negotiate study designs and costs.

  • Direct human clinical trials (Phases III & IV), ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory standards.

  • Monitor adverse event reporting and oversee safety-related activities.

  • Prepare and provide essential data and reports to regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure study sites comply with protocols, facilitating trial completion.

  • Lead investigator initiations and manage group studies.

  • Collaborate with other corporations as a consultant under licensing agreements.

  • Provide expertise on coronary and peripheral technologies, product development, and clinical trial support.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required (Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred).

  • 7+ years of experience in Cath Lab, surgical tech, or medical device industries.

  • Proven background in coronary and peripheral technologies.

  • Experience in clinical trial support and product development.

  • OCT experience (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of vascular and minimally invasive technologies.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 80% across the Northeastern US region.
