Principal Biostatistician (Non-Clinical Statistician) – Remote, India
Job Summary:
Syneos Health is hiring a skilled Principal Biostatistician (Non-Clinical) for a fully remote role in India. This senior-level statistical position plays a pivotal part in supporting research and pre-clinical development by designing and analyzing experimental data. You'll work across cross-functional teams, lead statistical initiatives, and influence drug development strategies for one of the world’s top pharmaceutical services providers. Ideal for experienced biostatisticians with a background in life sciences, pharmaceutical research, or biotechnology.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with research and pre-clinical teams to design and analyze experiments
Provide input on design feasibility, sample size, randomization, and licensing applications
Develop statistical analysis plans for complex experiments and ensure consistency across projects
Coordinate virtual cross-functional teams within Non-Clinical Statistics
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in statistical deliverables
Implement standardized analysis methods for routine studies
Manage outsourced statistical work and provide oversight
Interpret and communicate statistical results to stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
Proven expertise in statistical analysis of non-clinical/experimental data
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R)
Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in cross-functional project management
Ability to work independently and lead statistical projects
Previous pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred
