Job Overview

Clario is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pricing and Proposals Specialist based in India to support global clinical trial sponsors. This role plays a critical part in developing accurate pricing strategies, change order documentation, and high-quality proposals for clinical research projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the specialist will contribute to strategic pricing decisions while supporting international projects aligned with European working hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop pricing estimates and supporting documentation for change-in-scope requests across simple to complex clinical research projects

  • Collaborate with Project Management, Sales, Finance, Product, and Scientific teams to generate accurate and competitive pricing strategies

  • Prepare Change Orders, proposals, budgets, and fee schedules using Clario and client-approved templates

  • Deliver high-quality proposal and pricing documentation within defined timelines and service-level expectations

  • Maintain accurate project, budget, and pricing data in internal systems and ensure proper document storage in line with departmental standards

  • Review and analyze Requests for Proposal (RFPs), protocols, and scope documentation in collaboration with functional stakeholders

  • Generate ballpark estimates, detailed budgets, and formal proposals in response to RFPs

  • Support large or complex trials and program-level pricing reviews to determine optimal commercial strategies

  • Mentor and provide quality oversight to junior team members, supporting training and development initiatives

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing processes, templates, and internal workflows

  • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives related to proposal development, pricing governance, and training

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, or a related discipline preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in pricing, proposals, or commercial support within Life Sciences, clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or related industries

  • Proven experience developing pricing estimates, budgets, and change order proposals

  • Strong understanding of clinical research processes, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical industry practices preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is an advantage

  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and positive approach
