  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop methodologies for obtaining Cryo-EM/ET structures of novel protein complexes.
  • Prepare biological samples for cryo-electron tomography using focused ion beam milling and single-particle cryo-EM.
  • Collect and analyze Cryo-EM/ET images.
  • Document experimental work in an electronic laboratory notebook and present findings in team meetings.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and maintain instruments.
  • Work in a laboratory environment and contribute to advancing technology for cellular complex characterization.

Basic Requirements:

  • PhD in structural biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Expertise in focused ion beam milling sample preparation for Cryo-ET.

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience in Cryo-EM single-particle sample preparation, Cryo-ET data collection, and image processing.
  • Expertise in protein purification, characterization, and Cryo-CLEM methodology.
  • Strong interest in developing new technologies to study cellular complexes at near-atomic resolution.
  • Familiarity with cellular characterization methods and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  • Self-motivation and a continual learning mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
