As one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations globally, Fortrea operates four Early Phase Clinical Research Units in the UK and US. We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in Madison, WI.
This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to support clinical trials involving various study types including:
Ascending dose
First-in-human
Food effect
Drug-to-drug interaction studies
You’ll work closely with leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies during critical early stages of drug development—contributing to therapies that can touch lives worldwide.
Assist in receipt, storage, packaging, disposition, and retention of API and IMP.
Maintain complete records related to pharmaceutical materials.
Prepare doses and assist in dispensing and labeling.
Manufacture/assemble as needed under supervision.
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and supply maintenance of the pharmacy.
Attend study meetings and assist Pharmacist/Study Lead with sponsor interactions.
Maintain compliance with GMP/GCP and relevant regulatory requirements.
May be cross-trained in study operations tasks.
Pharmacy Technician Certification (recommended)
1–2 years of pharmaceutical experience (recommended)
Preferred: Direct hospital pharmacy technician experience, especially with sterile preparation.
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly-regulated environment.
Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
