Position Summary
Fortrea is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our Daytona Beach, FL facility. This role supports the preparation, management, and dispensing of study medications in a regulated, fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate thrives on precision, accountability, and continuous learning while contributing to a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare, dispense, and manage investigational medications according to study protocols.

  • Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and data integrity standards.

  • Participate in sterile compounding and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, if applicable.

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain inventory control and perform quality checks on study medications.

  • Support training and mentorship of new team members as needed.

  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical trial operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality, R&D, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or clinical setting.

  • Familiarity with GDP, GMP, and data integrity principles.

  • Experience in sterile compounding or hospital/long-term care pharmacy preferred.

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification per state requirements is highly desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to professional growth and long-term engagement in the role.

Work Environment

  • Laboratory and clinical settings with exposure to electrical office equipment and biological fluids.

  • Occasional travel to site locations may be required.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, gowns, and protective eyewear.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand or remain stationary for 6–8 hours per day.

  • Repetitive hand movements to operate lab or pharmacy equipment.

  • Occasional bending, crouching, or twisting.

  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 15–20 lbs.

  • Proficiency in computer software and electronic data systems.
