Pharmacy Technician I – Clinical Research | Madison, WI
Job Summary:
Fortrea, a top global Contract Research Organization (CRO), is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I to join its Early Phase Clinical Research Unit in Madison, WI. This full-time, on-site role offers pharmacy professionals the opportunity to support cutting-edge clinical trials across various therapeutic indications. Ideal for candidates passionate about clinical drug development, GMP/GCP compliance, and investigational product handling, this role bridges pharmaceutical expertise with the world of clinical research.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide practical pharmacy support within clinical research protocols.
Maintain direct communication with supply function organizations.
Ensure regulatory compliance with GMP and GCP standards.
Understand and implement protocol-specific API/IMP handling procedures.
Participate in study meetings and assist Pharmacist/Study Leads in sponsor interactions.
Manage receipt, storage, packaging, and disposition of APIs and IMPs.
Maintain accurate records related to pharmaceutical products.
Support dose preparation and the manufacturing/assembly/dispensing of products.
Generate and apply manufacturing labels for clinical trial products.
Ensure pharmacy cleanliness and organizational standards are maintained.
Perform additional duties as required to support study operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician Certification recommended.
1–2 years of pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Hospital pharmacy technician and sterile preparation experience strongly desired.
Familiarity with GMP, GCP, and clinical trial protocols.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
