About the Role:
UCLA Health is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Clinical Manager to join our Pharmacy Services team at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. This leadership position plays a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and overseeing clinical pharmacy programs while fostering the professional growth of clinical pharmacy staff.

The ideal candidate combines strong clinical expertise with leadership acumen and a passion for optimizing patient care. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to enhance medication management, improve patient outcomes, and support departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee clinical pharmacy programs, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives.

  • Drive initiatives in medication use optimization, drug therapy management, and cost containment.

  • Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to implement best practices in clinical pharmacy services.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and departmental policies.

  • Provide operational leadership, budget oversight, and opportunities for process improvement.

  • Mentor and support the professional development and competency of clinical pharmacy staff.

  • Communicate new policies, procedures, and clinical updates effectively across teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) with advanced clinical experience.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in clinical pharmacy, including leadership or management roles.

  • Strong knowledge of medication management, clinical pharmacy practices, and healthcare regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage complex clinical initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a large academic medical center or hospital pharmacy setting.

  • Familiarity with pharmacy informatics, clinical decision support systems, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Certification in pharmacy management or clinical specialties (optional but advantageous).
