Position Overview

Accenture is hiring a Pharmacovigilance Services Associate Manager to support global pharmacovigilance operations, drug safety surveillance, and end-to-end case processing. This role is aligned to the Life Sciences R&D vertical, contributing to clinical development, regulatory operations, and patient safety services for leading biopharma clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in pharmacovigilance processes, team management, safety database operations, and regulatory compliance across global markets.


Key Responsibilities

Pharmacovigilance Operations

  • Manage affiliate mailbox activities, case intake, report reconciliation, and follow-up attempts for serious and non-serious cases.

  • Oversee end-to-end processing of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) including case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, narrative writing, quality review, and submission as per global regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with client-specific pharmacovigilance guidelines and international regulatory standards.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation

  • Review and analyze moderately complex safety data problems, proposing effective solutions.

  • Support audits, inspections, and documentation requirements within PV operations.

  • Contribute to developing and refining PV processes, leveraging existing methodologies and improving efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Interact with global clients, internal teams, and management to align on PV objectives and project deliverables.

  • Understand strategic priorities defined by senior leadership and support execution within team goals.

  • Collaborate across functions within the Clinical, Pharmacovigilance & Regulatory services unit.

Management & Leadership

  • Lead medium to small teams or workstreams within Accenture or with client stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance and minimal-supervision support on new assignments.

  • Drive performance, operational excellence, and process consistency across assigned teams.

Shift Requirement

  • This role may require working in rotational shifts based on business needs.


Required Experience & Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is mandatory.

  • 10 to 14 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Surveillance.

  • Strong knowledge of ICSR processing, MedDRA coding, safety databases, and global PV regulations.

Preferred Capabilities

  • Ability to analyze moderately complex issues and develop appropriate solutions.

  • Experience interacting with clients, peers, and senior management teams.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Capability to operate with minimal supervision and guide team members.
