Job Description:
The Pharmacovigilance Physician role at PrimeVigilance provides licensed medical doctors with the opportunity to begin or advance a career in drug safety. The position involves comprehensive medical review of safety reports, literature assessments, and support of global pharmacovigilance functions in collaboration with a multinational team.
Key Accountabilities:
Review and approve post-marketing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reports from clinical trials
Assess seriousness, expectedness, and causality of adverse events, including appropriate coding
Write company comments, propose follow-up actions, and perform analysis of similar events
Complete supporting documentation such as tracking tools and forms
Provide medical support to the Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV), particularly when the QPPV is not medically qualified
Contribute to periodic safety reports with medical insights
Review literature screening strategies and articles for relevant ICSRs, SAEs, or other safety concerns
Qualifications:
MD (Medical Doctor) qualification is required
Strong time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize
Collaborative approach with effective cross-cultural communication and teamwork
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (minimum B2 level)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
