Job Summary

As a Pharmacist at Veeda Clinical Research Limited, you will play a vital role in supporting clinical trials by managing and dispensing investigational products, ensuring compliance with study protocols, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with clinical research teams to ensure the safe and effective use of medications in clinical studies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Medication Management:

    • Dispense investigational products to study participants according to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and label investigational products, ensuring accurate dosage and administration instructions.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records of investigational products, including receipt, storage, and dispensing.
    • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely ordering and replenishment of investigational products.
  • Record Keeping:

    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all pharmacy activities, including dispensing logs, inventory records, and temperature logs.
    • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Patient Interaction:

    • Provide counseling and education to study participants on the proper use of investigational products, potential side effects, and study protocols.
    • Address any questions or concerns from study participants regarding their medications.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with clinical research coordinators, investigators, and other healthcare professionals to support the safe and effective conduct of clinical trials.
    • Communicate effectively with study participants, clinical staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Safety Monitoring:

    • Monitor study participants for adverse drug reactions and report any incidents according to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in the management of medication-related emergencies and adverse events.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Participate in the development and maintenance of SOPs related to pharmacy activities in clinical research.
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and clinical research through continuous education and professional development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm).
  • Experience:

    • 2-4 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably within a clinical research or healthcare environment.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and electronic medical records (EMR).
    • Strong understanding of clinical research protocols, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Clinical Skills:

    • Excellent clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge, including drug interactions, side effects, and proper medication use.
    • Ability to perform accurate calculations for medication dosages and preparations.
  • Organizational Skills:

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively interact with study participants, clinical staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills:

    • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
