Role Overview

We are seeking a Pharmacist to support and lead cleaning validation projects at our Freiburg site. The role involves coordinating and implementing cleaning validation tasks, preparing and reviewing cleaning validation protocols, performing risk analyses, and leading audits related to cleaning procedures. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to improving processes and ensuring compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Coordination

  • Oversee and manage cleaning validation projects and special tasks.
  • Conduct risk analyses related to the cleaning of production equipment following ICH Q9 standards.
  • Develop, review, and approve cleaning validation and verification protocols for pharmaceutical production and packaging facilities.
  • Evaluate deviations and manage changes related to cleaning validations.

Process Improvement and Documentation

  • Revise and create cleaning protocols, taking into account new requirements and optimization of procedures.
  • Present cleaning validation topics in audits by authorities and customers.
  • Continuously improve cleaning validation workflows and validated cleaning processes, including the use of software-based solutions.

Training and Development

  • Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy interns during their practical year.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • A completed university degree, preferably in Pharmacy, with a license to practice as a pharmacist (m/f/d).
  • Ideally, initial experience in cleaning validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.

Skills and Expertise

  • Structured, proactive work approach with strong reliability, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, particularly related to solid dosage production and cleaning validation.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in common software applications and interest in using software-based solutions to enhance workflows.
  • Fluency in German and good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
