Position Summary:

Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to encourage repeat visits. Pharmacists achieve this by treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, promoting inclusivity, and delivering the right products at fair and accurate prices. Essential Job Functions:

  • Commit to delivering customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome and appreciated.
  • Maintain professionalism, positivity, and good communication about the company in the presence of customers and on social media.
  • Administer immunizations to customers in accordance with State Collaborative Practice Agreements and Kroger procedures.
  • Complete clinical services as per relevant case load.
  • Dispense medications according to prescriptions while adhering to laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Compound medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
  • Verify prescriptions for accuracy and determine required formulas and ingredients.
  • Check new medications against existing prescriptions and patient profiles to prevent drug interactions.
  • Review the work of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns for accuracy.
  • Support special promotions in consultation with the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Follow protocols for product recalls.
  • Stay updated on seasonal and special promotions.
  • Maintain procedures for quality assurance and controlled substance security.
  • Work to prevent and report incidents of robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Support equipment maintenance through proper inspection and repair.
  • Reinforce safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.
  • Report all customer or employee accidents to management promptly.
  • Adjust personal schedules to cover open shifts when necessary.
  • Communicate ongoing store special programs.
  • Share relevant information with department members affecting job functions.
  • Comply with company policies and union agreements.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and guidelines, including HIPAA and DEA procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote teamwork and align organizational goals.
  • Foster trust and respect within the team.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications for Pharmacist:

  • Must be a licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the State board.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or recognition as a Foreign Pharmacist Equivalent from the Board of Pharmacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
