The opportunity:
The Packaging Supervisor will supervise the packaging department while ensuring compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and company policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise the filling and packaging of solid dose and oral suspension products.
Oversee and coordinate activities of employees in the Packaging Department.
Ensure adherence to cGMPs and SOPs during operations.
Develop and update SOPs related to department activities and train personnel.
Focus on quality, safety, and efficiency to improve work practices.
Ensure the security and accountability of materials and inventory control.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase department efficiency.
Enforce packaging standards and execute disciplinary actions when required.
Manage employee timecards, work hours, vacations, and leaves of absence.
Conduct investigations related to packaging deficiencies.
Support cross-functional departmental needs to ensure seamless production.
Identify and mitigate health and safety issues by maintaining a safe environment.
Maintain knowledge of ERP systems and Packaging Vision systems.
Perform other duties assigned by the Manager/Director.
Your experience and qualifications:
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma (required), Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience: Strong working knowledge of a Packaging Department.
Knowledge: Familiarity with SOPs, cGMPs, and ERP systems.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs.
Not allergic to cephalosporins, chemicals, or bio-substances found in laboratory or production facilities.
