Job Overview

Novo Nordisk GBS is seeking a Medical Reviewer to join the Centralized Monitoring Unit (CMU) in Bangalore. This role focuses on medical oversight of clinical trial data, ensuring the integrity, quality, and consistency of information across assigned trials.

Please note: This is a clinical development role and not a pharmacovigilance position.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical trials, risk-based monitoring, and medical data review, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical review of all trial subjects across assigned clinical trials to ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, local regulations, and SOPs

  • Collaborate closely with Data Managers, Trial Managers, and Medical Specialists during trial conduct

  • Identify, clarify, and resolve medical concerns and inconsistencies in clinical trial data with investigational site staff

  • Document findings and actions in the Trial Master File (TMF) to ensure inspection readiness

  • Provide input to Medical Monitoring Plans (MMP), displays, and data listings to enable efficient medical review

  • Present review findings to Medical Specialists to support informed decision-making

  • Participate in trial planning activities related to medical review and data oversight

  • Ensure high-quality, consistent medical data through risk-based monitoring and data cleaning

  • Communicate review status according to project plans and timelines


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: MBBS + MD (or equivalent)

  • Experience: 2–5 years in clinical trial medical review, clinical development, or related functions

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and clinical trial processes

  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology and clinical trial activities

  • Experience with risk-based monitoring methodologies and clinical data systems

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and spoken English, with effective stakeholder management capabilities
