About the Role

Q² Solutions, the laboratory division of IQVIA, is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support hematology operations at their Valencia, California facility. This role is responsible for performing routine laboratory analysis, ensuring accurate data generation, and maintaining compliance with established regulatory and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing procedures in accordance with SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and quality standards.

  • Document test results accurately and conduct routine data analysis, escalating discrepancies to senior laboratory personnel.

  • Prepare data for upload into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) under supervision.

  • Assist with quality investigations, deviation reports, and corrective action processes.

  • Prepare laboratory solutions, buffers, and other materials required for ongoing analytical work.

  • Support onboarding and guide entry-level staff on routine laboratory procedures.

  • Conduct calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory instruments; assist in training personnel on equipment use.

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support daily laboratory operations.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or related field.

    • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

    • Some CAP/CLIA facilities may require a degree specific to laboratory sciences.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment preferred.

    • Hands-on experience with calibration, laboratory techniques, and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and infection control standards.


Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent standing and walking required.

  • Comfort working with laboratory instruments, computer systems, and small-print documentation.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively within a team environment.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.


Compensation

Annual base pay range: $41,400 – $86,100, depending on experience, education, skills, schedule, and geographic factors. Additional compensation may include incentive programs, bonuses, and comprehensive employee benefits.
